Fall 2026 Conferences

Students with a Grade of 70% or Below

If your student currently has a 70% or lower in Chorus or Guitar, and if you would like an opportunity to learn what your child's performance and effort is in class or discuss areas for improvement, please sign up for a conference time.  

You may choose either:

• In-Person Conference: We will meet in the Chorus Room, located at the end of the Music Wing hallway.
• Phone Conference: Please include your phone number in the "Reason for Conference" section when signing up.

When scheduling your conference, please indicate "In-Person" or "Phone."

If your student has an "M" listed for Chorus Sectionals, it means the sectional is missing. The good news is that missing sectionals can still be made up.

Sectional Requirements:

• Every choral student is required to attend 4 sectionals per marking period.
• Many students are currently behind on their sectional attendance.

Making Up a Missed Sectional:

• If a student cannot attend their regularly scheduled sectional, they may attend a make-up sectional on a Day 5 or Day 6.
• Students should notify Mrs. Bissell in advance if they are unable to attend their scheduled sectional.

Communication Expectations:

• Since students have been issued permanent passes that include the dates of all their sectionals for the marking period, they are expected to know when they are scheduled to attend.
• Mrs. Bissell expects students to attend sectionals on the dates listed on their passes. This teaches accountability.  
• Beginning October 1, 2026, any student who misses a scheduled sectional without notifying Mrs. Bissell will receive an email reminder about the importance of communicating absences.

Please encourage your student to keep track of their sectional attendance and communicate in advance if they need to miss a scheduled session.
